Dr. Helmut Kaltenhauser

Dr Helmut Kaltenhauser was born in Töging am Inn (Altötting district) in 1961. After studying mathematics (degree in 1985, doctorate in 1988) at the University of Würzburg, he worked in various positions in the financial sector in Frankfurt am Main, most recently focusing on banking supervisory law, accounting and digitalisation. In the period 2018-2023, he was a member of the Bavarian state parliament, where he was the financial policy spokesman for his parliamentary group.
Kaltenhauser has been musically active since his school days, primarily as a choir singer. Since the 1990s, he has also held positions such as chairman of a men's choral society, vice president of the Maintal Singers' Association and, since January 2022, president of the Bavarian Music Council.
Kaltenhauser is the father of two daughters, lives in Alzenau-Hörstein (district of Aschaffenburg) and is active in a variety of voluntary roles, for example as a member of the Aschaffenburg district council, a member of the executive committee of the Thomas Dehler Foundation and in the local history and heritage association.
