At this year's International Robert Schumann Competition in June, two students from the University of Music Würzburg were awarded second prize in the men's vocal performance category. Emil Greiter and Jakob Ewert were both honored. They study with KS Prof. Jochen Kupfer.

Emil Greiter is in the 8th semester of his Bachelor's degree. Jakob Ewert was accepted into the soloist ensemble of the Chemnitz Opera after completing his bachelor's degree.

The Robert Schumann Competition is one of the most important music competitions in the world. It is held every four years in the piano and vocal performance categories.
