Last autumn, an opulent commemorative publication entitled "50 Years of the Würzburg University of Music (1973-2023)" was published by Prof. Dr Christoph Henzel. This commemorative publication will now be presented to the interested public following the anniversary year 2023 on 31 January 2024 from 1 pm on.

The presentation of our commemorative publication in the Chamber Music Hall in the building on Residenzplatz marks the end of the events for the anniversary year. After the welcoming address by the President of the University, Prof Dr Wünsch, there will be an introduction to the commemorative publication by the musicologist Prof Dr Henzel. Afterwards, some contemporary witnesses of the last 50 years, namely Prof Martin Hummel, Prof Barbara Metzger, Prof Rudolf Ramming, Prof Dr Hinrich Stahmer, as well as Prof Toni Völker (Karlsruhe/Darmstadt) will contribute some atmospheric reports under the moderation of Prof Dr Andreas Lehmann.
