World-famous pianist works with HfM students

Students in the piano department will be offered an extraordinary opportunity at the end of March: Edith Fischer, an outstanding artist and luminary in the field of instrumental pedagogy, has been invited by the piano department to work with Bachelor's (artistic), Master's and masterclass students.

Edith Fischer was born into a musical family and gave her first concert at the age of eleven, playing Mozart's Concerto K453 in G major as a soloist under Hermann Scherchen's baton just two years later. After studying in New York, she settled in Switzerland and developed into one of the world's most sought-after pianists, impressing audiences with her virtuosity both as a soloist and as a chamber musician.

The masterclass at our university will take place on 24, 25 and 26 March 2026
