Violinist Katharina Neumaier (class of Prof. Sören Uhde) has successfully auditioned for an academy position with the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchester in Hamburg. The one-year academy begins in August 2026.

Katharina Neumaier initially studied school music at the Hochschule für Musik (HfM) from 2020 to 2023, majoring in violin with Sinn Yang. In 2023, she switched to the bachelor's degree programme in violin - both artistic and artistic-educational - in the class of Prof. Sören Uhde.

She also gained practical orchestral experience as part of a temporary contract that took her to the Augsburg Philharmonic Orchestra from March to August 2025.
