With Anne Sofie von Otter, the HfM Würzburg is expecting one of the greatest singers to give a masterclass. From 25 to 27 May 2024, students of the vocal department will have the opportunity to work with one of the world's most successful singers on the subtleties and finesses of aria and song interpretation, as well as on a successful stage presence.
Welcome!
On Monday, 27 May 2024, the general public will also have the opportunity to attend Ms von Otter's work with the students as an audience. The courses will take place from 10:00 to 15:30 in the ballroom of the Convent of the Sisters of the Redeemer at Bibrastrasse 6.
Anne Sofie von Otter
is one of the most distinguished singers in her field. After her studies in Stockholm, Vienna and London, she spent years of musical training and traveling, which ultimately led her to the most renowned houses in the world. The mezzo-soprano, who is a member of the Deutsche Grammophon artist roster, has also recorded an excellent discography - and not just metaphorically. Recordings with the artist have been honored with the "Grand Prix International du Disque", the Gramophone Award "Record of the Year", the "Prix Caecilia", the "Edison Award", the "Record Academy Award", the "Echo-Klassik" and last but not least a "Grammy".
Artistically, Anne Sofie von Otter is no longer only at home in the classical and romantic repertoire, but also regularly turns to other eras from the baroque to contemporary genres.
