For the academic year 2024/25, the University of Music Würzburg was able to gain new donors for the Deutschlandstipendium. Prof. Dr. Maria Schuppert and Prof. Dr. Frank Schuppert are sponsoring a scholarship at our university from this year onwards. Prof. Dr. Schuppert established and headed the "Music and Health" department at the University of Music Würzburg as a lecturer for special tasks. By endowing a scholarship, the Schuppert couple would like to express their solidarity with the University of Music Würzburg.

A further, additional scholarship is being sponsored this academic year by the Rotary Club of Würzburg. In the Rotary Club, personalities from various professional contexts are committed to "serving the community and contributing to better global understanding". After sponsoring a Deutschlandstipendium at the University of Würzburg and the THWS Würzburg, the Rotary Club of Würzburg would like to support a student at the University of Music this year.

Since the last academic year, Dr. Margot Raps-Hölscher has been sponsoring a scholarship and the couple Lucy Hallman Russell and Ray Carson Russell two Germany Scholarships at the University of Music Würzburg. Dr. Margot Raps-Hölscher's husband was Professor of Violin at the University of Music Würzburg. Lucy Hallman Russell is a recipient of the University of Music Würzburg's Silver Badge of Honor and has taught harpsichord, early music and music history.

The Deutschlandstipendium supports talented and high-achieving students. In addition to convincing grades, social commitment can also be taken into account when awarding the Deutschlandstipendium. Scholarship holders are each supported with 300 euros per month. Private sponsors pay 150 euros and the federal government contributes 150 euros.
