In 1973, the second Bavarian University of Music was established in Würzburg as the successor institution to the Bavarian State Conservatory. The high quality of education at the State Conservatory and the increased demand for music teachers for high schools were reasons for this "promotion". The following fifty years were characterized, among other things, by an expansion of the courses offered, an increase in the number of students and the associated addition of further buildings, the number of which will increase to four in 2023 with the leasing of part of the former Mozart Gymnasium.
To mark the occasion, a joint celebration was held in May 2023! The film documentation of this special event, which has been completed in the meantime, offers all those who could not be present the opportunity to take a look at the extensive program.
