In the winter semester 2021/22, a joint course for students of the three study programs took place for the first time. In the seminar "Experiencing Music - Understanding Music" by Prof. Almut Gatz (Music Theory) and Prof. Michael Forster (Elementary Music Education), workshops were developed for children of primary school age on various topics from the field of music theory, in which the focus is on experiencing, creating and understanding music. The working methods of elementary music pedagogy play a special role here, they enable a movement-oriented, playful and experimental approach to the musical objects.

On 30.03.2022, two workshops will be practically tested in the third classes at the Astrid Lindgren Elementary School in Helmstadt.

On Friday, 08.04.2022, the workshops will take place again in the afternoon at our college. Interested parents can register their children aged 8 to 10 years until 05.04.2022 for the two 90-minute events here.
