Heeryun Seo, a flute student in the class of Prof. Stefan Albers at the Würzburg University of Music, was awarded 1st prize at the 16th Dutch International Flute Competition (13-19 April 2026) in the Netherlands. She was thus able to successfully assert herself in an international field of participants.

The prize comes with a €2,000 voucher and also includes a recital at the Concertgebouw Amsterdam and an invitation to the Flutissimo Festival in Paris.

Heeryun Seo was born in South Korea. She completed her bachelor's degree at Seoul National University in South Korea and then completed her master's degree at the Detmold University of Music in Germany. She is currently continuing her artistic training in the masterclass at the Würzburg University of Music.
