Yadviga Grom, born in Minsk in 1993, comes from a family of musicians and received her first piano lessons from her mother Natallya Grom at the age of 5. From an early age, she was recognised at various national and international competitions and won several prizes (Sviatoslav Richter Piano Competition for Young Pianists in Ukraine, Piano Competition for Young Pianists in Minsk, etc.). Yadviga made her solo debut with an orchestra (performing Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 3) at the age of 14 with the Belarusian State Philharmonic Orchestra in Minsk under the baton of Alexander Anissimov. Yadviga Grom has been living in Germany since 2007. In 2012, she successfully completed her Abitur at the Humboldt Gymnasium Ulm. From 2007 to 2012, she studied at the PreCollege of the University of Music Würzburg with Prof. Andras Hamary. In 2011, she received the 1st Federal Prize with the highest score at ‘Jugend musiziert’ as well as the Culture Promotion Prize of the City of Ulm in the music category. From 2012 to 2019, Yadviga studied at the University of Music in Würzburg with Prof. Markus Bellheim, Prof. Alexander Schimpf and Prof. Bernd Glemser and completed her master's degree with distinction. In 2019, she studied at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna with Prof. Martin Hughes. In November 2023, Yadviga completed the master class at the University of Music in Würzburg with Prof. Bernd Glemser with the highest distinction. Yadviga Grom is a prize winner of the Nuremberg Piano Competition, the Maria Fischer-Flach Competition for Chamber Music, the Steinway Competition in Frankfurt, the DAAD Competition, the France Music Competition and the Franz Liszt Center International Piano Competition. She gained important musical inspiration from masterclasses with Marta Gulyas, Arnulf von Arnim, Grigory Gruzman, Jacques Rouvier and Matti Raekallio. Numerous performances have taken her to Poland, Russia, Czechia, Austria, Italy, Spain and the USA. In 2021, Yadviga received a scholarship from the German Music Council's ‘Neustart Kultur’ programme and became a scholarship holder of ‘Bayern innovativ’. Since November 2018, she has been a lecturer for accompaniment at the University of Music Würzburg, where she works with the string and wind instrument classes.
