Dr. Balázs Szabó has been appointed university professor at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. He will succeed Prof. Martin Haselböck there from March 1, 2024.

Balázs Szabó (*1985) has made a name for himself in the organ world as a versatile talent and winner of major competitions. He completed his studies at the University of Music Würzburg (Bachelor's, Master's, Meisterklasse) in the class of Prof. Dr. h.c. Christoph Bossert, who recognized his talent early on during a master class and has not only supported him ever since, but also, as Dr. Balázs Szabó says today, provided him with "decisive artistic impulses". Parallel to his studies in the Meisterklasse, Balázs Szabó also completed the EU-funded "International Master's Program OrganExpert" in Würzburg.
