Residenzplatz Building

Directly across from the Würzburg Residence, a UNESCO Cultural Heritage Site, is the Hofstrasse edifice, known to both musicians and the public as the Residence Building, with its magnificent view of this Würzburg landmark. As for the basic structure, it is the oldest of the three edifices, and at the same time it is the newest, having been given over to the University and renovated in 2006.

The Chamber Music Hall with a large foyer and backstage area is ideal for performances of contemporary music due to the permanently installed audio equipment and the close proximity of the rooms of the Percussion Department. Adjacent and on the floor above is the Jazz and Popular Music Department, as well as Elementary Music Pedagogy (EMP).

The cafeteria and the underground parking lot complete this attractive construction in its very central location.
